QED Controlled Drug CRT cabinets provide top security and compliance for storing controlled substances. They also feature integrated temperature control to maintain drug efficacy and reduce waste.
The QED MED-CRT cabinets are purpose-built metal wall units that store medicines under Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) conditions.
Based on fully compliant standard medicine cabinet designs, they feature integrated temperature control to keep medicines below 25°C, which is crucial for maintaining efficacy in warmer weather. By ensuring proper storage, the QED MED-CRT cabinets help prevent medicine degradation and significantly reduce waste.
Fully compliant with all current legislation for medicine storage in healthcare settings, each cabinet is constructed from 1.2mm thick steel with a fully welded design for durability.
Security features include anti-jimmy folded returns along the hinge side of the doors to prevent forced entry, and a BS3621:1998-compliant lock resistant to picking and drilling. These features ensure safe, legal and reliable medicine storage.
PRECISE TEMPERATURE MONITORING
Each unit features a pharmacy-grade digital temperature controller that is set to control between 15°C and 20°C, along with built-in alarms for added safety and monitoring should temperatures fall outside this range.
CD CABINET COMPATIBLE
If needed, the QED MED-CRT cabinets can be fitted with a secure internal controlled drugs (CD) unit, providing a convenient and compliant solution for storing controlled substances safely within the main unit whilst keeping essential medications organised and easily accessible.
