The construction of Embla is clear and understandable. Nevertheless, we also challenge wood as a natural material in order to create the best ergonomic conditions with the seat and back rest for comfortable sitting. The chair has character, material and craftsmanship implicit in its appearance. Due to its distinguished form and with a multitude of variants, Embla can fulfill a considerable range of requirements.
The backrest and the seat are ergonomically contoured to provide superior seating comfort. The frame is made of solid beech wood and plywood. Upholstered pads are available as an option.
Available with or without armrests. Stackable up to 5 units.
The Embla chair embodies human-centred design. As well as the standard seat height of 46 cm, upholstered Embla chairs with armrests are available in two other heights: 51 cm and 56 cm. The version with a higher backrest provides extra support. The maximum load capacity of these upholstered models with armrests is 150 kg.
