A VELA Mammography Chair offers safety and stability when patients need to sit down, e.g. if they have balance issues. It can also improve the staff work environment to sit patients down because strenuous working postures can be avoided when you get patients down to a lower height.

Improves work environment

With a VELA Mammography Chair, staff can avoid straining their back and shoulders in extreme positions when screening patients. When the patient sits down, the staff gets a better working posture with relaxed shoulders. Furthermore, the chair’s easy running wheels make it easy to position the patient and stability is quickly restored with a foot brake to lock the wheels. Finally, the chair offers electric height adjustment to easily control the patient’s height in front of the device and find the best working position.

Hygiene Benefits

VELA medical chairs are designed to meet the stringent hygiene and disinfecting requirements in the healthcare sector

• For optimal hygiene, chairs have easy-to-clean surfaces without recesses where dirt might gather, including the underside of the chair
• All backrests are supplied with edge bands to prevent dirt collecting in the joints
• All parts can withstand disinfection, for example, with alcohol or chlorine at the recommended concentration and mixing ratios
• Light-coloured surfaces make it easy to spot marks when cleaning

Compound

Compound meets all cleaning requirements in the healthcare sector. Compound can be washed with spirits at concentrations of 70%–85% alcohol and withstands chlorine disinfection (disinfectant containing active chlorine at 1000–1200 ppm). At the same time, Compound provides a comfortable surface that does not get slippery or sweaty when sitting down for long-term work.
